Danish Folk Council

Danish Folk Council is dedicated to developing and promoting Danish folk music in Denmark and internationally.

The Council serves as information point for the Danish folk scene.

The Council publishes the bi-monthly folk magazine “Folk&Musik” featuring articles, reviews, adverts etc. and also publishes a national folk music directory, “Folkemusik Scenen”, listing folk groups, musicians, societies, organisations, venues, festivals, public relations, contacts abroad - and most anything else related to the Danish folk scene.

Danish Folk Council is a non-profit organisation funded by an annual grant from the Danish Music Council.

dk.phluids.com

The project “dk.phluids.com” is the brain child of Danish hip-hop producer Bo Pedersen a.k.a. phluids and sponsored by ROSA-The Danish Rock Council.

The objective of the project is to set the spotlight on the Danish hip-hop scene and to focus particularly on those artists who aim for an international audience, i.e. those who have chosen to communicate in English.

The CD “dk.pluids ... : Hip-hop Music from Denmark” was co-ordinated by Bo Pedersen with the help of Jakob Domino and the rest of the ROSA staff. The tracks were selected by Bo Pedersen (phluids), Kim Sæther (dj noize), Henning Winter (kroner & ører) and Jakob Domino.

Danish Jazz Federation

Danish Jazz Federation is a non-profit organization.

The aims of the federation are primarily to disseminate information about Danish jazz and to promote the development of jazz in Denmark and abroad. The Jazz Federation is primarily financed by an annual grant from the Danish Music Council.

There is a growing international demand for Danish jazz, and Danish musicians definitely possess the qualities necessary for international recognition.

The Danish Jazz Federation works on several levels internationally. We invite foreign jazz promoters to Denmark's large jazz festivals; we visit jazz festivals in other countries to build networks and find collaborators; we initiate musician-exchange projects and we work with the Danish Ministry of Culture on international projects which present Danish culture around the world.
